How it started
A response to what we saw.
Cherish Africa began with a simple observation: there were children in Cape Town with nowhere safe to sleep at night. What started as a few hands helping a few children has grown, slowly and carefully, into a small home that genuinely feels like a family.
What we do every day
Safety. Food. Learning. Love.
Every day at Cherish Africa looks much like a day at any home: breakfast around a shared table, school books opened, scraped knees patched up, dinner cooked together, stories at bedtime. We focus relentlessly on the basics, because the basics done well are what change a child's life.
Where we're going
Grow slowly, care deeply.
We've made a deliberate choice not to grow quickly. Instead, we want to take excellent care of the children already in our home, and add capacity only when we can do so without compromising the warmth that makes this place work. With your support, we can keep doing it well, for years to come.
